Electronics and Communication (EC) engineering mostly deals with systems related to concepts, applications and implementation of semi-conductor physics, electrical, electronics and electromagnetics and Communication in day to day life. EC has become global and has undoubtedly become one of the basic branches in Engineering. The curriculum of EC Engineering has been designed in a way that students can gain knowledge and explore these ideas in live practical applications. This will led them towards an enriched and prospectus career as an Engineer.

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering were established in the year 2007. The institute being affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, the curriculum, examination and other academic structure of the department are as per defined by the University.

On 17th October 2020, EC department organized webinar on "Introduction to MATLAB and It's Industrial Applications" for students by Mr. Lalit Patil (propulsion control engineer, Bombardier Transportation India Ltd)

Electronics Laboratory

Testing &Measurement Instrument like Analog oscilloscopes, Function Generators, Frequency Counter, Multi point Power Supply ,Digital oscilloscope, Digital Multi-meter etc.
Analog lab and Power Electronic Lab platform with set of variety of trainer kits like Transistor as amplifier, Cascaded amplifier, Class A amplifier, UJT Characteristics, SCR Characteristics, and TRIAC Characteristics.
Availability of various electronic components for circuit design on bread boards.

To demonstrate and gain conceptual knowledge about latest mobile technology we have CDMA Trainer kit
To understand basics of electro-magnetic transmission and measurement with effective parameters we have Microwave Test Bench
Antenna Trainer kit
For fundamental knowledge of digital modulation-demodulation we have Digital Communication Trainer Kit

To gain knowledge about microprocessor architecture we have 8085 Microprocessor Based Trainer kit
To demonstrate basic concepts of automation, to understand fundamental of robotics we have 8051 Microprocessor Based Trainer kit
